We are a PR-friendly blog and can help you reach your target audience with product reviews. City of Moms was created by a panel of moms to reach out to moms to enourage and inspire. Getting information out there on products that can help make their/our lives easier, would be considered a part of that goal.
Product Review Policy
You product or service must be family friendly. Our mom panel reserves the right to refuse any product or service if it deems it inappropriate for our site. It doesn’t mean you don’t have a good product, but that we don’t feel it is a good fit for us. If you present a family friendly product or service to use we will give an honest opinion and help you spread the word about your fabulous product or service. We know how important it is to see other reviews on specific products as often times, that’s exactly what we do at City of Moms, when we make purchases. We usually go to a search engine and look up specific reviews before buying. In additon to our posting, we have search engine experts on staff to help boost those reviews up in search engines, so that they are seen by many. WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY MONETARY AMOUNT TO REVIEW A PRODUCT. Your product will be provided to us free of charge and is non returnable.
We will review your product (and tweet about it) within two weeks of receiving it (if this is not possible, we will let you know up front).
***PLEASE NOTE*** we will not guarantee that we will love your product or give it a positive review. We will be honest, but if we are not fond of your product we will contact you to discuss the best way to handle the issue. It could be that we didn’t understand how to use it. You may at that time determine if you want to withdraw it or continue with the posting. If withdrawn, the product will not be returned.
Giveaway Policy
We also do giveaways on “City of Moms”. Another great way to generate a great deal of publicity about your family-friendly product or service is to sponsor a giveaway! Companies or websites sponsoring the giveaway are responsible for shipping prizes or tickets to winners, as well as for any tax or shipping and handling fees. It is preferred that one non-returnable item be sent for review before the giveaway (at least a week before), since giveaways can be associated with reviews. Minimum giveaway value must be at least $25. We will tweet about each giveaway at the time of posting.
We will write a review of your product and at the end of the post, will announce the giveaway (preferably active for no less than 14 days and up to 1 month). I usually request readers to enter contests by leaving comments on the post, with extra entries for tweeting and promoting the giveaway. Participants will be required to visit your site as part of the giveaway stipulations. When it ends, we will randomly select the winner/winners through a random generator, collect the addresses and forward it to you for direct shipping purposes.
Website Review Policy
$25 – Website reviews.
We are happy to review your website if you feel that our readers might be part of your target audience. However, please note that it takes a significant amount of time to write a well balanced and informative review, which is why we have to charge. Any membership fee for your website will also be covered by you. Post will include a disclaimer. Post is never taken down and link is tweeted to my Twitter followers.
