Needles Found In Sandwiches on Delta

An odd story is being reported this morning as the FBI and Delta are trying to figure out how sewing needles got into turkey sandwiches on board their planes, one heading to Atlanta and one to Seattle.  Both began their journey in Amsterdam.

A representative for Delta said flight attendants were serving turkey sandwiches provided by a catering company when one person was injured.  That person refused medical attention.  Flight attendants opted to serve pizza instead to passengers who hadn’t received food yet.  While Delta sorts things out with the FBI,  they say they will be serving prepackaged food instead.

In all, five sandwiches were found with needles in them on three separate flights at the time of this writing.   For more on the story, see here.
