In a world where plastic surgery has become the new “it” fashion accessory, it is refreshing to see women finally taking a stand. Kate Winslet has declared that she will never give into Hollywood’s pressure to undergo cosmetic surgery. In fact Winslet is so against it that sheand fellow Oscar Winners Rachel Weisz and Emma Thompson have formed a group titled the “British Anti-Cosmetic Surgery League”. [The Telegraph]

“I am an actress, I don’t want to freeze the expression of my face,” Winslet said.

Thompson, 52, agreed. “I’m not fiddling about with myself,” she exclaimed. “We’re in this awful youth-driven thing now where everybody needs to look 30 at 60.”

Newly-married Weisz, 41, said that people “who look too perfect don’t look sexy or particularly beautiful.”

Meanwhile, there are others in Hollywood that shares the same sentiment like Salma Hayek, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Meryl Streep. Salma Hayek recently told Allure magazine, “I believe that every woman is entitled to fight to preserve her youth. [but] its [cosmetic surgery] like the uniform of a generation. And it’s not necessarily beautiful. It’s not wrinkled-looking, but it’s not beautiful.”

Jamie Lee Curtis is something of a legend when it comes to her views on aging naturally. She surprised many in 2002 when she appeared makeup-free and untouched in a sports bra and briefs in Mores Magazine, drawing attention at the time to her “fatty little tummy” and other flaws. The point, Curtis tells PEOPLE, is that glam isn’t real, but good health is. Go Jamie!!

The message is clear WOMEN!!! Take care of your health, mind, body & soul. If you can’t change it, accept it. There is nothing more beautiful than a woman who feels good in their own skin. Hopefully, more women in Hollywood will get the memo and hop up on the natural train.
