Bob Evans Farmhouse Feast Review

I was honored to have the opportunity to review the Bob Evans Farmhouse Feast carry out tonight (a full holiday meal that feeds 8-10). It is similar to a traditional Thanksgiving meal with all the fixings. The items in the box include: turkey, green beans, corn, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. But that isn’t all, it comes with the most scrumptious pumpkin bread I have ever tasted. My husband said “This bread is so good, it should be illegal.” It takes just about an hour to warm up the fully cooked meal in the oven…

OK, I have to confess, during Thanksgiving of 2009 I was recovering from surgery and did not have the energy to cook. I looked around for options and found this same meal and I used it for our Thanksgiving dinner. It was incredible to spend minimal time on my feet during my recovery. I realized then, that this is just the type of meal people need for any reason. We liked it so much, we ordered it again for 2010!

It tastes the same as a traditional meal in every way. The only two things I would change is the whip cream, because it tastes like cool whip and I’m more of a real cream girl and the butter because I think it is margarine, and I prefer butter. Those are easy fixes for a meal that is so divine!

This awesome meal allows moms to enjoy the feast without the fuss, prep time, dirty dishes, etc., and spend more time visiting with their beloved family and friends. Be blessed with no stress. Order your Bob Evan’s Farmhouse Feast over Christmas or Thanksgiving, or anytime!

Note: City of Moms did not receive any compensation for the above review, however, we did receive a free Farmhouse Feast to review.

  1. We just had this for a pre-Christmas dinner with family. I was surprised at how good it was from the gravy to the delicious pumpkin bread. While it was not quite as good as what I would make, it definitely tasted home cooked. I would give it a 7 out of 10? I am now wanting to try other Bob Evans family size meals. By the way, this says 6-8 people… this could easily feed 10!

  2. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen things like this advertised, but when I’ve purchased it and took it home it had an artificial flavor. It’s good to know about this and that it tastes homemade. We will be doing a pre-Christmas meal and I think this fits the bill. Thanks for the review!

I agree, it is wonderful to have the option out there. I forgot to mention the price of 74.00 to feed 10. Not a bad option. Perhaps I should put it in there?

  3. Mmmm, that just sounds divine, esp since I am a pumpkin-anything fiend. So you can only get it on those two holidays? Do you have to give them lead time?
